Editorial policy
Genuine Match Journal aims to make careful, readable work about matchmaking and dating. We distinguish observation from fact, avoid presenting personal preferences as universal rules, and make our editorial relationships visible.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against appropriate sources when a piece depends on them, use precise language and make uncertainty clear. We do not invent examples and present them as real accounts. Where an article offers interpretation, we make that distinction clear rather than dressing opinion as established fact.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to guarantee a favourable view of a person, service or idea. If a material error is identified, we review it and correct the article with an appropriate explanation. Readers can submit corrections through the Contact page.
Partners and paid material
Any paid, sponsored or partner content is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not buy an editorial conclusion, and partner placements are identified where they appear.
Images and illustrations
Illustrations may be AI-generated. When an image is illustrative rather than documentary, we do not present it as evidence of a real person or event.
